Some Frequently Asked Questions

How do I hire internationally?

Borderless handles the whole process for you. Your organisation will first need a sponsor licence. Then you need to agree to sponsor someone, complete the immigration process, onboard them into your organisation and maintain Home Office compliance.

Can I hire migrant workers already in the UK?

Absolutely, with a sponsor licence, you can sponsor eligible workers from across the world and already in the UK, not just native UK workers.

How long does it take to hire internationally?

Anywhere from a week or two to several months. The timeline depends on where someone is based, whether they have all the required documents and how quickly you can make key decisions along the way.

How much does it cost to hire some from abroad?

Understanding all the fees can be very confusing. There are two required fees that organisations must pay each time they sponsor someone (the Certificate of Sponsorship assignment fee and the Immigration Skills Care). Both of these fees are quite reasonable. Then there are additional costs you may wish to support your worker with, like visa costs, flights, accommodation and training.

How do I recruit someone ethically?

Make sure you are following all the correct processes. Don’t actively recruit from red list countries. Check out Borderless’ recent webinars to learn more.

How does Borderless help me find international workers?

Our technology platform helps you connect with talented individuals across the world, better assess individuals already applying to your organisation and streamlines the interview and offer process.
